Dr Shakespeare trained in UK as a Radiation oncologist, has vast international and local experience in Radiation Oncology.

  • He is a specialist in all cutting edge radiation techniques including, 3D conformal Radiation, IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, Rapid arc and Tomotherapy.
  • Vastly experienced in cyber knife, stereo tactic radiosurgery and fractionatedstereotactic radiation.
  • Was pioneer in starting stereotactic Radiation in North east England.
  • Involved in formulating various Radiation guidelines with Royal College London.
  • Due to dual qualification of MRCP (UK) and FRCR (UK) has greater understanding about the role of chemotherapy and its potential interaction with Radiotherapyand its effects.
  • Research interest –was one of the principal investigators in SCORAD PIT STAMPEDE, SOCCAR multi centered phase 3 randomized trials.
  • Core member of various multi-disciplinary team meetings and grand tumour board.
  • Mentor and tutor for Radiation oncology national board trainees.
