Work Experience
- Worked in gastrointestinal surgery and gastrointestinal oncology at CMC Vellore where he rose to the position of Professor of Surgery in 2002
- worked predominantly in the field of hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery since 1997
- Member of the liver transplantation team at Vellore from 1999
- performed the first succesful adult Live Donor Liver Transplantation in Tamil Nadu in 2005
- first such successful transplant in Karnataka later the same year after moving his practice to Bangalore

- Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1992
